As I sit here now, I feel at a loss of words reflecting on the events of the last couple months.  So much has changed after leaving Japan and starting this new adventure.  In the past couple of months I have gone from complete extremes of a crazy winter season in Hokkaido, Japan to all kinds of crazy in Southern India.

Life in Japan

It's been almost three months since moving to Hokkaido, Japan and our time here is seemingly coming to an end just as quickly as it has come.  After boxing up our bikes and flying from Beijing to Sapporo, Brandon and I made our way to our new home in Kutchan, just outside of Hirafu village where we have been working for the snow season.

Kamchatka

High in the clouds, stunning aerial views of nearby volcanoes had completely captivated me before even landing in Kamchatka.  As the seatbelt sign flashed on, with the plane ready to descend, half of the travellers were out of their seats, glued to the right hand side windows in complete astonishment.  Kamchatka already seemed otherworldly.

Adventures in Alaska

Cycling into Anchorage, Alaska and heading towards the ocean I could barely believe the first leg of our journey had so quickly come and passed.  Touching the Pacific Ocean pedalling 4500 kilometres to get there felt a bit surreal and came with an abundance of joy, struggles and new experiences.
