what’s new: substack
long time, no new articles. but really, I’ve just shifted. I’ve been diving more into longer journal form articles and travel rambles again.
the creative flow I’ve found myself in with longer form pieces has been a lovely change of pace from the quick hit of other social platforms.
I love writing honest and thoughtful reflections on my travels. about the shifting landscapes, expansive regions, learning more about diverse cultures, a mix of well-trodden or forgotten places. the blend of outdoor movement, community connections, the natural world, and the building a deeper self and meaning in it all.
so while I’m getting after it on and off the trails, my written pieces of my full-time travels are often based more on my honest reflections and experiences on the road. how it felt to ride through open landscapes in norway. the damp, cool air bring a chill to my bones. what it was like to climb up the never-ending cobble-stone switchbacks, in the heat of the day in montenegro as a little “side-quest” while everyone else who had the slightest bit of common sense was jumping into the fresh waters below. or how morocco has continued to shape me with every return, as I’ve lead running tours there over the years. and not solely because of the landscapes I’ve run through, but through building deep family relations with our partners there - weddings, holding their baby for the first time, or spending ramadan with the family. beyond just the epic travel moments and endless adventures, it’s more about the in betweens.
the little moments with profound impact.
thanks for sticking around.
